A quick guide to what you’ll need at the closing table.

Buyer's Checklist

Purchase Agreement Amendments
Notify the title company of any amendments to the purchase agreement.

Power of Attorney
If you are signing as a Power of Attorney, bring the original signed Power of Attorney document.

Entity Purchasing
If you are purchasing in the name of an entity or trust, please provide formation documents to the title company ahead of the closing and bring the official formation documents with you.

Termite Inspection Report
In Louisiana, bring the signed termite report, if applicable. (Brought in by agent.)

Driver's License
All signers must bring their driver’s license to the closing.

Certified Funds Check
Bring a Certified Funds Check in the amount of proceeds shown on the Closing Disclosure.

Wire Instructions
If sending a wire for the proceeds, confirm wire instructions with your Closing Specialist.

Wire Instructions
If you are receiving your proceeds by wire transfer, please send in ahead of time, or bring with you, a copy of your voided check or your bank’s wiring instructions.

Utilities
Remember to coordinate with the buyer’s agent the date utility services will transfer to the new owner.

Keys
If you are in possession of your house keys, bring all keys to the closing.
